 PLACES TO VISIT IN KARSOG, (HIMACHAL PRADESH)

Karsog valley is one of the popular valley near Shimla. There are many places to visit in Karsog. Many temples and beautiful nature you can see in the valley.

1. Mamleshwar Mahadev Temple

Mamleshwar Mahadev Temple is one of the best place to visit in Karsog. It is said to have existed since the Mahabharata era. The temple is made by Pandawas during the exile period. According to an ancient and religious story, there was a Maharishi named Bhringu who meditated there. A Kinner girl named Mamlesha used to serve him. Maharishi fell in love with that girl, so they got married. Maharishi worshiped lord Shiva, to avoid the effect of marring that girl. Then he established Shiva there, and with the name of that girl Mamlesha and Lord Shiva, the temple was named Mamaleshwar Mahadev Temple.

2. Shikari Devi Wildlife Sanctuary

 Shikari Devi Wildlife Sanctuary is another best place to visit in Karsog. It is about 14 k.m from Karsog via Shankar Dehra. A place named Raigarh is a junction point and converted road to Janjehli, Karsog, and Shikari Devi. It is nearly about 8 k.m from Karsog. while visiting Shikari Devi Wildlife Century you can spot many wild animals and different varieties of trees and herbs. You can also enjoy the view of enthralling sunrise and sunset. At the top of shikari Devi hill, you may face some network issues but you definitely do not have to worry about that when you feel the beauty of nature.

3. Manrega Park 

 Manrega Park is also growing up as a visiting place. It is about 26 k.m from Karsog. It is located at the place named Kutahchi, in Churag panchayat. It is situated with the Kamaksha Mata temple of Kutahchi covered by pine trees. Here is a well that always remains full of water. You can visit here with your family, friends, and kids. Here is many things for kids for playing with. You can also remember your childhood memory at this place. The work of Manrega Park started in June 2022 and still work is in progress.
